It should be illegal to sell an EV that can’t do more than 50 miles. This is not just about range anxiety. It’s about keeping cars on the road for longer. Imagine buying a new ICE car advertised with: “10-litre fuel tank.” Want a normal-sized tank? That’ll be another €10,000. Ridiculous.

Buy a fast petrol car – it might be the best (and most fun) deal right now. Fast petrol cars from the 2010s seem to have hit a price floor. A 2018 Golf GTI ≈€20k. They’re barely depreciating – and I think some will actually rise in value. They’re also modern enough for everyday use. GO!

Are we turning cars into Apple Watches? EV drivetrains may last longer than ever. But batteries, screens, sensors, software, and expensive electronics can make an old car uneconomical to repair. If cars become disposable sooner, what does that do to the environmental equation?

I saw an interview with one of the migrants from Morocco. He said he had seen on social m that once you made it across, ”you could stay in Spain”. That was enough to convince people to risk their lives. I’m surprised this angle hasn’t received more attention.

Europe tour update… Airbnb: Mold, a terrible smell, and a house that looked like no one had been there for years. Booking: Shattered balcony door covered with plastic. What’s the point of booking through these platforms if you’re left completely on your own when you need them most?
The more I drive across Europe, the more I fall in love with it. If I had the chance to do life all over again, I’d 100% become a racing driver full time. 😅 But for now, Europe’s roads are a pretty great alternative 🇪🇺
