Since Kevin Blue took over the CSA, both national team programs have been significantly more active about bringing in Canadian coaches to work as assistants and support staff for MNT/WXNT/YNT camps. It's not the same cabal of CSA coaches. It's excellent club, university coaches and S&C coaches.
US is finally a true Poch team. Everyone gushing about how fun and exciting they are as they lose to a team worse than them.
It does feel important to note that not only did Chelsea self disclose (and at the most defensible moment - when they got the club), but the magnitude (in quantity/size of individual infractions, AND the impact relative to PSR FFP of the infractions) was so much smaller than City’s

Kieran Doyle@kierdoyle.bsky.social · 2w agoCity will settle for a small points deduction applied to multiple seasons (like 9 points a year for 4 years or something). Nobody wants to relegate them and a settlement is better than a 2 year appeal process.
People are going to make a big deal of this as if it’s a new thing that things are found/published/announced and other people say “actually I did it first”.
