Some of this is just 23 touches in 71 minutes as opposition keeps marking him out of games but: 5/11 passing, 1 shot blocked, 2 progressive carries, 2/11 duels… it’s just not what you want to see out of a guy who clearly has the talent to demand a $22 million+ fee.

Rodri best d-mid ever? Before the tournament I saw someone pick a combined '10 / '26 Spain team and was shocked they didn't pick Busquets, but man...

Think that’s probably the end of Messi’s Argentina career, and what a special privilege it was to watch it.

Think a huge part of Spain dominating this (and Argentina going this far) is that their styles are just so so so much less intense physically than the other teams. Were better able to handle a pretty brutal schedule and environment.

Mid final but firmly firmly S tier tournament.

That might be the best defensive tournament of all time by Spain. 1 goal conceded is nuts.
