Student of history, Soma and TADC freak. Politics is not about making the line go up. History did not end.

Big batteries all around Australia store the cheap, renewable energy we generate from solar during the day, so it can be used at night when demand is high. This strengthens our energy grid, moves us away from expensive coal and gas, and brings prices down for everyone.

We're fixing a broken energy market - because you deserve a fair go when it comes to your energy bills.  There’s still more work to do, so we’ll keep getting on with cracking down on energy companies who do the wrong thing, and making life easier, and cheaper, for you.

I‘m getting really sick of posts about how maybe 2 or 3 European countries have done something good, and then someone screams at Australia for not also having done it (yet) as if we’re in the slowest 10%, from accounts that never credit us when we actually are world leading “Chasing the Dragon”.

It's the 1st of July which means the Cheaper Home Batteries program turns 1 and the Solar Sharer Offer becomes available.  These are common sense polices aimed at supporting every day Aussies with the cost of living.

Two things about this argument. Firstly, AI proponents are desperately trying to wear down your resolve any way they can, and they wouldn't be so keen to tell you it's inevitable if they weren't terrified of the push back. Secondly, all AI slop can be expunged given the time, effort, and drive.

This "ai code/art is already everywhere and impossible to avoid so you should just relax about people using it" shit has to stop, it's not remotely true. Same exact shit as "it's the inevitable future!" or "you can't put the genie back in the bottle!!" We can literally do whatever the fuck we want

Programs like Cheaper Home Batteries, the Electric Vehicle Tax Cut, and the New Vehicle Efficiency standards - all gone if they were in charge. And Aussies would pay the bill.  While they’re driven by ideology, we’ve got a common sense plan to deliver a cleaner and fairer future for Australia.
