Day 4 of #ECC2026 #ECREA2026 We started with a sticker: Where the heck is Brno? After four days, hundreds of presentations, countless coffees, and a few wrong turns through the city... I am fairly confident the question has been answered. @medjourmuni.bsky.social @ecreaeu.bsky.social
How expensive is democracy? That was one of the questions underlying today's keynote by Frank Esser at #ECC2026 #ECREA2026 A powerful example of why this year's conference theme, Shifting Grounds, feels particularly relevant. @medjourmuni.bsky.social @ecreaeu.bsky.social
Day 2 of #ECC2026 #ECREA2026 Conferencing! We kicked off the Keynote lectures with amazing Lenka Waschková Císařová from @medjourmuni.bsky.social One idea that particularly resonates with me: peripherality is an analytical resource, not a disadvantage. @ecreaeu.bsky.social
Yesterday's opening roundtable set a high bar! Looking forward to today's keynote and to seeing where the conversations of #ECC2026 take us next! 💚 @medjourmuni.bsky.social @ecreaeu.bsky.social
The #ECC2026 has officially begun! We are delighted to welcome you to Masaryk University in Brno and look forward to several inspiring days of discussion, discovery, and connection. @masarykuniversity.bsky.social @medjourmuni.bsky.social
Together with the audience, they unpack many pressing questions: How does research build bridges across intellectual, political, and social fragmentation? What forms of research, responsibility, and imagination are needed for communication scholarship to remain relevant, rigorous, and meaningful?
We are kicking off with a roundtable on this year's ECREA theme, "Shifting Grounds: Paths, Connections, and Futures." Chaired by the wonderful Monika Metykova, the session brings together Sandra Banjac, Emilija Gagrcin, and Michael Bossetta to reflect on communication as a discipline.
The #ECC2026 is on! We began with a conversation and I cannot wait what the next days bring us! @masarykuniversity.bsky.social @medjourmuni.bsky.social @ecreaeu.bsky.social
