Increasingly, I have seen folks who released music through GameChops distance themselves from the label and express a desire to re-distro outside of it. But there's a cost involved in that which many musicians may not be able to cover. So, fuck it, let me put my money where my mouth is.

white text on black background that reads "music re-distribution financial relief fund. since just because a label done borked up that doesn't mean your music should disappear."white text on black background that reads "what this is: an offer to provide financial aid to help cover the costs involved in re-distribution of tracks outside a label. even if every track is only five bucks to put a track through distro independently, that adds up after an album or so. i'm putting my money where my mouth is and seeding this with $250 to start. if you would like to add to that, my DMs are open - let's chat."white and other light colored text on black background that reads "what this is not: anything beyond financial aid. I cannot help you clear licensing. I cannot help you secure proper licenses if you need something beyond a basic compulsory mechanical license. I cannot help you re-mix or re-master a track (though I can put you in touch with people who can). I cannot help you get out of any contracts you may have had with a label as far as who owns what."white text on black background that reads "your music matters. Let's not let label ownership tomfoolery fuck it up. DMs are open."

Yes, I also got the email about Dj Cutman using genAI for his side projects. Spoke w/my peers about the matter, and since I've released tracks on GC, done collabs with Chris (which is why my name was brought up), plus my OWN community reaching out, here are my thoughts & what actions I've taken:

After a lot of thought, I will be stopping instrumental remake/BGM/mixing requests (VGen & directly) for some time. I thought I was going to get back into groove this year but have been struggling with my mental health and burnout and has therefore affected my work (1/2)
