FAKE PSYCHIC x REAL PSYCHIC @ the beach: On sub! 🎲 A D&D nerd who can’t catch a break 🎸 A grumpy musician who needs a day job ✨ Fake fortunes & real psychometry 🔮 (Crystal) ball jokes 🕯️ Wait that candle’s for what 💖 Big rom AND com #QuestPit #OS #AG #A #R

It's in the Cards is a queer rom-com with light speculative elements, perfect for fans of romances with just a touch of magic, like New Adult and One Last Stop.Elliott: When a rent hike threatens to price Elliott out of their apartment, they scramble to bring in more cash - specifically, by offering tarot readings at the metaphysical shop they manage. They've spent plenty of time playing roleplaying games. Playing the role of a psychic reader should be just as easy...right?

A photo collage shows dice, a person giving finger guns, and tarot cards fanned out on a table.Adrian: Adrian Reyes has psychic abilities - when he touches an object, he learns about it and others who've interacted with it. After years of feeling alone, he's finally met another psychic, one who conveniently offers him a job right when he needs one.

A photo collage shows a close-up of a hand, a person playing guitar, and a partially melted candle.

To drum up business, fake psychic Elliott offers REAL psychic Adrian a job at their metaphysical shop. But to keep Adrian employed, Elliott must keep up the ruse that their abilities are real - and avoid falling for his dry sense of humor or pretty smile. #questpit #OS #AG #A #R

A photo collage that shows a "psychic advisor" sign in a shop window, a person adjusting another person's tie, a person running their finger across another person's palm, a person touching a tarot card face-up on a table, and a beach boardwalk.

❄️ COVER REVEAL ❄️ I am so excited to finally be able to reveal the STUNNING cover for my debut YA fantasy, A Fate Unwoven, which was done by the incredible Zarin Baksh! A Fate Unwoven will be published by @peachtreeteen on October 14th and is available to pre order via the link in my bio!

Omg signed copies!! You can preorder my book through my amazing local indie and I’ll sign & personalize it for you 🫶 Know that the consequences of asking me to doodle in your book will be catastrophic (I have no art skills!!) but I will if you ask bc preordering earns my undying loyalty 💕

Preorder Blood Beneath the Snow by Alexandra Kennington from The King’s English bookstore and receive a signed copy!

A million percent this. But it’s wise to be mindful of what we’re seeing. MG got REALLY long when we know attention spans were impacted by COVID. I think it tipped a bit earnest. Remember the kids who want to just have fun, too. Write the book of your heart, but don’t forget the reader.

#KidLitTip #1. Everyone says middle grade novels aren't selling these days, but who cares? Editors are still buying them, + tons are working. Think about the great mid grade writers--Horvath, O'Connor, Medina, Yee, Applegate. In 2 years Mid grade will be hot again. It's cyclical. Just keep writing.
