This isn’t exactly a new or unique scenario for #crew96 and other MLS clubs. But it kinda makes you wonder if it was smart of MLS to paywall its games and change its season so that, starting next year, it encompasses the entire college football and basketball; NFL; NHL; NBA; and HS sports seasons

I’m telling you, the Columbus Crew have the bones of a really good team. Add an actual left back and a healthy Wessam Abou Ali to the mix, and they’re cooking with gas. Laurent Courtois has quietly done an excellent job with this team.
To answer your question, no. There have been 5 DPs to score on their debut in Crew history: Zardes, 6 days after he signed his DP contract in 2019, scored in a loss to Colorado. Zelarayan scored the winner vs NYCFC in 2020. Cucho scored the winner vs Chicago in 2022. Then the 2 this year #Crew96
