After the Trump-Vance admin cut down over 500 trees in DC this weekend, we went to court. Today, a judge agreed with us and ordered the government to temporarily stop this unlawful effort that would irreparably destroy a priceless piece of American history.

Public and recreational spaces should belong to the people who use them — and who pay for them with their tax dollars. This administration promised a federal judge it wouldn't take irreversible action at East Potomac, then cut down hundreds of trees anyway, and we're in court to stop it.

UPDATE: We’re expanding our case challenging the Trump-Vance admin’s plans for armed agents at polling places. This expansion includes adding Hennepin County, MN, as a plaintiff and making a new claim under the Voting Rights Act, which prohibits intimidation, threats and coercion related to voting.

The Trump-Vance admin wants armed ICE officers to conduct immigration enforcement operations in polling places during the November midterm elections. This unlawful attempt to threaten voters must be stopped. Our courageous clients will see to it in court.

We're asking a court to stop the development of an intrusive, harmful 250-foot arch proposed in Arlington County across from the Lincoln Memorial. This vanity project — dressed as a military complex — unlawfully bypassed environmental review and would severely impact the county and its residents.

A federal court blocked a Trump-Vance policy preventing people in immigration detention from completing required steps in their immigration applications. This is a major victory for survivors of trafficking and domestic violence, abused children, and people seeking to reunite with their families.

The Trump-Vance administration is using public funds to air political ads, including one used in President Trump’s 2024 campaign. This unlawful use of taxpayer funds to air Trump’s partisan propaganda must be stopped. We will see to it in court.
