With the news that Marine Parade are back I thought I would dig out this classic. Still absolutely holds up. #NowPlaying Evil Nine - You Can Be Special Too
Recovering from some recent surgery and can’t do much, so going through some recent purchases. This one comes highly recommended:- Shed - Rave Echos Has his signature sound, weighty broken beats, lots of crunchiness, loads of sub bass and plenty of pads. It’s good basically.
This is the most meticulously detailed and thought provoking run down of the new BoC that I have read. Outstanding work 👏
I’ve spent a fortnight being consumed by Inferno. The more I listened, the more questions it seemed to raise. What started as a few notes soon turned into a track-by-track exploration of the album and the ideas I found within it. If you’d like to read my thoughts then please click the link. Thanks.
Get involved. Always a great listen.
Enjoy independent curated radio with no forced playlisting from labels/agencies, presented by a passionate person (i.e. me) - then you'll likely love my weekly show Mornings With. I broadcast it on Thursdays on Twitch. Follow me + it at twitch.tv/mantisradio Thankyou.
Just back from Backrooms. What a weird, unsettling, kind of silly film. Enjoyed it, although need to read up on its meaning. What an incredible time for horror fans right now though.
Time for something a little more uplifting. Now playing.
Those beautiful bastards have done it again. What an absolutely magnificent listen. Love them so much. Some absolutely stunning moments on this that absolutely floored me on this first listen.
Away from home until Sunday and resisting the urge to listen to the new BoC until I get back and can listen to record in full with no distractions. Yes, I am sad like that. Until then - on a completely different tip, can recommend the new Shed album.
Will celebrate today, but let’s never speak of this season again.

Lovely groove on the new one from Shed. Proper head nodder.
Ho lee shit! Inde Navarrette, take a bow! Best horror I have seen in ages.
This is a really great listen. Slight shift in sound from Martyn I think. Jazz with reece and sub bass aplenty. Really good.
Today’s musical accompaniment provided by the consistently brilliant Calibre. One of the very best to do it. Must check out the new album.
Solo cinema trip to watch this. It starts a run of a seriously strong looking set of horror releases this month.
Have a couple of exciting music projects on the way also. Something special coming out on @bricolageg5.bsky.social soon. A couple of remixes, a 4 track club based EP, (maybe under a diff name) & longer term a collab release with a close friend that will focus on our love for all things Autonomic.
Been a huge admirer of Mike’s work over the years so it was really special to have him put together some artwork for my last EP. Highly recommend getting in touch with him if you require any design work 🔥
Updated the portfolio w/ some recent work credits and two projects, the artwork I did for @wilksmusic.bsky.social and a recent-ish thing for Budweiser x FIFA. makemassair.co.uk
Been revisiting this release from @wilksmusic.bsky.social that I created the cover art for in October. Nick's project wilks has a real nice depth to it, perfect for this sunny afternoon. It's available via the Glaswegian label Bricolage — bricolageglasgow.bandcamp.com/album/a-soul...

Finally got around to checking out the new Lone album. It is a lot of fun. Playful, glimmering and shiny throughout. Artwork perfectly reflects the music. Think it will be amazing live.
Giving this dreamy album a spin on its 40th anniversary. Such a delicate, stripped back album with no drums or bass. Majority of the tracks sound like a lullaby x
Got a few errands to run in the car today so have delved into the CD collection. Was only one choice I could make given the anticipation of a new release.
Really enjoyed this. Obviously extremely bleak in parts, but the magic they had when they formulated the band was something special.
Starting the day right with this morning’s musical choice. Never fails to hit the spot.
Been listening to old cd’s in the car recently. Nubreed Y4K mix was today choice. Remember breaks? Most of the tracks still hold up. Andy Page & Nubreed tracks still hard. Classic Tipper, & Ils, Si Begg ‘Turn the Volume Up’ VIP disgustingly good. Induced a huge bass face of the highest order. 7/10
