Levels of Shellfish Toxin in Loch Ailort, Lochaber are back to safe levels. Our Environmental Health team has been notified that the raised levels of naturally occurring bivalve shellfish biotoxins at Eilean Dubh, Lochailort, Lochaber have returned to safe levels.👇️

The annual Kirking of the Council parade returns to Inverness on Sunday 13 September. Led by City of Inverness Pipe Band starting at 10.30 and travels to Ness Bank Church for 11am service, which is open to all. Temporary road closures will be in place between approx. 10.30 and 12.25. 👇️

Temporary road closure: U1504 Old Glencoe Road, Glencoe, from 14-18 Sept 2026. Closed daily 08:00-16:00 for repair and reinforcement works on behalf of The Highland Council. Open outside these hours, with a daily amnesty period from 12:00-13:00. Thank you for your patience.
