One month ago we had our first ever North American show, at ProgStorm Festival. Good times! 📷: Josh Kirchner

One of my favorite releases from last year. Definitely giving this record a spin today 🤘

On this date, 19 years ago, An Abstract Illusion was founded by 4 kids with a shared passion for loud music. Pretty insane to think that this band has been with us for over half our lives. Next year it’s our 20th Anniversary, should we do something special for that occasion?!

Launch - OFFICIAL WEBSITE & WEBSTORE (EU) We want to reveal a cool huge project we’ve been working on the past few months: We just launched our official website & EU webstore! (1/4)

4 YEARS OF WOE Thanks to everyone still listening! Do you have a favorite track or maybe even a favorite section?

Our first Canadian headliner tour with The Anchoret, Omnivide, Fractal Sun and Voidchaser has come to an end. It’s an honor to share the stage with such great bands and people. Thanks to all of you who came out to see us and support us in any way. We love you all and can’t wait to be back! 🇸🇪🤝🇨🇦🤝🇨🇷

AMQUI, osti de tabarnak! More than 1% of the whole town was attending. Huge! Halifax and Seahorse Tavern tonight! Doors at 6:30PM. 7:00PM: Voidchaser
7:45PM: Fractal Sun 8:35PM: Omnivide 9:25PM: The Anchoret 10:30PM: AAI

Merci, Québec! What a sweaty and beautiful night it turned out to be. Some familiar and some new faces, nonetheless as welcome as they can be. On to Amqui.

Progstorm 2026 c'est fini. Pure Reason Revolution was...a choice to close the weekend. Not my cup of tea but I enjoyed the bands I came to see, I saw a couple of decent bands I hadn't really listened to before. I stand by my opinion that @anabstractillusion.bsky.social should have been a headliner.

One more video, the intro to Emmett, which I couldn't keep filming because doing so took me out of the moment and I wanted to just experience it. @anabstractillusion.bsky.social #progstorm2026 And now off to do touristy things...

Literally came to Quebec for this...the biggest selling point (for me) to come to @progstormfestival.bsky.social was to see @anabstractillusion.bsky.social and they did fucking delivered. Emmett was devastatingly good, as was this epic masterpiece 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

MONTRÉAL, TABARNAK! You were amazing. Popping our Canadian cherry in the best way. Thanks to the whole crew at Progstorm!

Remaining live dates for 2026. Our ”The Sleeping Cities” Eastern Canada tour with The Anchoret, Omnivide, Voidchaser and Fractal Sun starts Saturday with ProgStorm Festival! Tickets: anabstractillusion.com/tour Photo by Martin Dedron

3 days left to grab some truly unique AAI merch that will never be available again; a “Sauna metal” tee and a “Northern Lights” coffee mug, amongst other items. This is for the true AAI diehard! www.indiegogo.com/en/projects/...

this and @anabstractillusion.bsky.social's The Sleeping City have become load-bearing records for me in the past year

Congratulations to Isak on his birthday, we’re so fortunate to have him behind the kit! Here’s to many more. 📸: Simon Vindroth

Ruining peoples’ mood since 2007.

We’re super excited to once again return to the Netherlands and co-headline this show with the excellent Persefone and IHLO! Happy to be joined by the other great acts, especially our friends in Feather Mountain, and get to celebrate Progspace.
