lrp in poland some elderly people refer to customer service folks as "boss" and its so endearing to me. i remember working at a coffee/ice cream booth a few years ago and there was an older auntie who always came over for a cone of lemon ice cream and called me "bosslady"
in art circles in jp / chn, artists get referred to as “sensei” / “laoshi”, but we don’t have that in english and we should. but i also don’t really like the way “teacher” sounds in english, so i think we should start addressing all artists as “boss”, like we’re all goons (the normal definiton)
