Undercover footage broadcast by Channel 4 News shows Reform UK’s policy chief explaining, in advance, that a donation could not come from a Reform donor, and the party’s most senior aides constructing a route for the money that would leave the man at the top of the party with, in one adviser’s own phrase, deniability. The Professor reads the arrangement as designed, not improvised, and sets it against the statute it was built to evade and that statute’s own, largely unenforced, twenty-five-year record.
