Jesus fucking christ something needs to change on that server.

Having done anime and video game conventions over the years, things I've learned: - I need way more recovery time than I'm used to after a travel convention. - Not the artists fault, but seeing $15 keychains/charms makes me die a little. - I could keep doing this for another 10+ years.
Otakon is a wrap from me. Hung out with my group the entire con, but when it came to warming up for the day and doing something at the end of day, rock band called again. Drums FC sightread on 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins. Thanks Otakon and my friends for making the 2nd Otakon amazing!
I ran a few Magfest jokes as I arrive here. That being said, first time I flew on a better Economy seat. I can see why people pay extra but I'm already short as is.

people always told me growing up that "this will pass" and it's true. a thing will happen and it'll seem like it's how your whole life is and it goes on forever, but... it passes. nothing lasts forever, and that's sometimes a good thing. but that I think a lot of people misunderstand how this works

If me 4 years ago was told "You'd be talking to so many different people today and have the confidence to chat it up", I would've been slapped silly by the same person. All of my friends said I'm more extroverted than before, which is even shocking to me sometimes.

If I had a nickel for every time my power goes out when I commentate Swim or Sink, I'd have two nickels -- which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

GDQ is by no means perfect, they've had their fair share of crazy errors in recent years, but asking people to get fired over a mistake (and in the replies about people learning about this today) is nuts. It makes sweeping issues under the rug the recommended solution over actual accountability.
authorblues@authorblu.es · 3w agoI'm just going to say the unpopular thing: Cheering for somebody to get fired because a mistake was made (and summarily corrected) is ghoulish. Clearly there was an oversight and people don't have to demand blood for every error. Some of you should reevaluate your morals.
