Resident Evil 7 and 8 are garbage and feel awful to play. Hyper Light Drifter is impossible for me to play because of the contrasting bright color scheme. GTA5 is an absolute walkback of any kind of innovation in gaming or tech. FarCry 5 is a passionless slog.

Kind of bugs me that people talking about SOMA will refer to Simon as a "clanker". Like... tell me you've got some kind of superiority complex from the comfort of your Gamer Chair™ without telling me, asshole.
It's funny to see people say that characters in games being polite is boring, then they meet a crabby character and lock on for dear life because that character "at least has opinions". As though daily life isn't full of generally polite people in the day to day who just want to get through it.
Finally getting to show my partner the schlocky fun of Escape from New York. It's totally goofy as sin. I love it.
Lately Ive been doing the Godot 2d tutorial and I must say, it's quite fun to work in that system. I'm getting ideas for other cute little things to do. Like a mushroom inspired game. Not drugs. But repurposing dead tissue as active environments for growing mushrooms, showing the beauty of decay.

Boy my brain woke up and chose "easily overstimulated" as today's modifier. Going to try and temper it with some meditation music and chill out. I think I'm still a little toasted from work yesterday and having to do month end reporting from dawn til past dusk.
Watched like 3 or 4 Japanese horror videos on Youtube before going to sleep last night, and ended up having probably the best sleep I've had in a couple of weeks. I dunno why. Nothing spooky happened in my dreams, just hanging out and playing pool (8-ball) with random people in an old house.
The proper response to this is violence such that no one will ever think to do this again.
