I extend this courtesy to anything, not just Japanese animation (ie when talking to a German friend about Zootopia, I have no problem saying Zoomania). General rule: use the title it's known by in the area the listener is from.

SungWon is right, and you can just @ him instead of doing this. Language is adaptive to the community you want to communicate with. Use the title that is accurate for who you are talking to.

Very much this. If you aren’t an active Japanese speaker/learner then using the Japanese names for shows that already have localized titles just makes you look pretentious. If you’re willing to confuse English speakers or make us look things up at least put in the effort to learn the whole language.

You can get angry at the WB/Paramount merger. And you should. But it's also important to not crash out over things you cannot control. Your own life is more important than corporate interests.
