The Western Nudist Research Library is an independent member-supported nonprofit incorporated in 2006, on the grounds of the Glen Eden Sun Club. Our mission is to catalogue, digitize, and preserve the history of nudism.

We received two wonderful donations this week. A rare Jock Sturges photography book documenting Fanny's years at Montalivet, difficult to find and valued at $2,000. The other is a German volume featuring photographs of 1920s FKK exercise culture. Which one would you be tempted to browse first?

Happy 4th of July from the Western Nudist Research Library! Today we celebrate the freedoms that have shaped our nation. It's also a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the communities, friendships, and shared history that make the naturist movement so special.
Over 60 years ago, Eden magazine asked : "Nudist Photography: Obscene, Erotic, Pornographic?" Decades later, the debate hasn't gone away, but the choices are very incomplete. Here's the challenge: if we were putting that cover together today, what words would you use?
