Today, in my husband's golf foursome was an evangelical guy who thinks he's a big deal in our town. He made a joke that was anti-gay and a slam on government workers. My husband told him his joke was offensive and the man asked, "What, are you a Democrat?" My husband's response , "You bet I am."

Today, I watched Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. This should be required watching for every high schooler, public and private, going forward. This movie is timeless in that it explains how government works and how corruption and lies rips at the fabric of democracy and liberty.
I want to open a bar called “Matches,” which promotes young people playing games together; getting to know each other; and hopefully, becoming a match. I am 64 and it was relatively easy to meet eligible young men when I was young. I would like to make it easier than it is for our young adults.
