I’ve seen trees you people wouldn’t believe. Deep branches collapsing off the shoulder of a saturated site, unresolved. I watched long-branch attraction glitter in the dark near the root of the Archaea. All those topologies will be lost in time… like tips in a polytomy.

another great teamwork @cbgpmontpellier.bsky.social led by Léa Genty and @cnmeynard.bsky.social !! Part of our #ANR projet #AgriBiodiv focusing on #Metacommunities and #plant-insect interactions across an agricultural intensification gradient (in 500 French parcels ) @inrae-dpt-spe.bsky.social

Happy to share another great publication lead by Lea Genty @cbgpmontpellier.bsky.social showing direct and indirect effects of agricultural practices on surrounding coleopteran communities. 🌐🧪 www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Another chapter of my thesis is out! We used genomic data generated from across the range of the Western Balkan highland endemic beetle Calosoma pentheri support the recognition of two distinct species. Biogeography, divergence estimates, phylo & population genetics, etc.

Screen shot of the article PDF: "Climatic swings triggered incipient postglacial speciation of flightless Calosoma beetles in Western Balkan sky islands" with author contributions.

👉 www.inrae.fr/actualites/c...
