I'm so happy? My 'I'm not Republican, I'm Libertarian' dad who, to my knowledge, has NEVER voted Dem, just said he's worried about maintaining free & fair elections & has volunteered to be a poll worker. This is a huge step from the 'you get more conservative as you get older' man of a decade ago.

"How did you get into TTRPGs?" When I was 9, I'd squirrel away Dad's Monster Manual + Dieties & Demigods & obsessively re-read them. My bff & I would spend hours playing "D&D" by making up stories with characters & chatting over the phone for hours at a time. Got to pen and paper 2 yrs later.

“How did you get into TTRPGs” My uncle was babysitting me on DnD night and gave me a character sheet. One session of DnD turned into a year long Marvel Superheroes campaign. That was 36 years ago.

A week late, but I periodically go through deep 9/11 hyperfixation phases. I was nowhere near NYC & didn't lose anyone personally. Hell, at the time (6th grade) I thought NYC & DC were the same place. But to watch this unfold, followed by a bombardment of politics I didn't understand- 1/3

I was in middle school when the US invaded Iraq. I did not understand anything that was thing on in the immediate post 9/11 world. I was too busy worrying what high school would be like and crying over pre-algebra homework. Well now my current YouTube rabbithole is all about that...
