Yet another example showing that platforms/ecommerce sites should have had a no-AI rule from day one. There are only negative outcomes to allowing AI content onto any site. This applies to the book world, of course.

an important update to this situation, a year on. solidarity with the silver sprocket artists and workers; silver sprocket is a beautiful idea and I want it to keep existing, but a publisher just can't exist at the expense of those it publishes.

When you're a musician and only listen to game OSTs, or a furry artist and all you do is watch cartoons and play video games, or on the flipside you're a writer that only reads classics, your scope is going to be narrowed. You need a healthy mix of everything

I hate the idea that there's a meaningful distinction between "erotic/sexual art" and "pornography." just because it's porn doesn't mean it can't be important or meaningful. just because it ISN'T porn doesn't mean it's better art. it doesn't stop being art just because someone's getting off to it.
