Young people hear this all the time: education is how you build a future. But if they come from a family that can’t write big tuition checks, they may get crushed by debt. And their path may get even rockier now that the GOP wants to slash Pell Grants and student loans.

It should prob be remembered that “birthright citizenship” was the product of the abolitionist mvt, which understood that no person of color would be safe from deportation or bondage if their citizenship could be questioned or taken away
