this has been a bit painful, but now skyfeed.app is no longer on a 2 year old flutter version :) I also added a few performance improvements, so it should feel better to use. However, Flutter no longer supports the HTML renderer on web, so if somethings broken on your device pls let me know

I deployed Jetstream V2 (github.com/bluesky-soci...) a few days ago and am pretty happy with how smooth it is, compared to previous solutions.

Back in March I posted that SkyFeed isn't sustainable: hosting 75,000+ community feeds for millions of readers costs ~1000€/month, and donations cover ~200€. The gap has been coming out of my own pocket. Today that changes: SkyFeed Pro is now live on skyfeed.eu 💚 [1/x]

I've been testing a few open Discord alternatives (including atproto-native ones) and they are really promising, but not fully there yet! So for now, I decided to instead simply create a temporary bsky group chat for SkyFeed discussion: bsky.app/chat/eCF6sL2 - feel free to join and say hi :)

I would like to set up a community space/chat for SkyFeed, which platforms/protocols would you recommend? the obvious pick here is Discord, but not sure if that really fits the whole "privacy-friendly and decentralized" vibe. I would also consider trying roomy, but not sure how polished it is yet?

After more than a year of re-building the entire SkyFeed architecture, the first few SkyFeed feeds are now finally being served by it! 🎉 All feeds are being validated automatically on each request and if they are proven to work reliably, that specific feed is routed to the new server.

Oh yeah for uhhm a few minutes I had the bunny cdn cache not vary by query params, which resulted in everyone getting the same (cached) feed for a few seconds each 😅

SkyFeed feeds are currently down due to a networking issue over at my @fly.io cache layer. Not sure yet if it's just my fault for not configuring something correctly or if they are having issues, I'm currently doing my best to find the issue and fix it quickly!

I'm investigating a skyfeed outage, will post updates in this thread.

Whoops, the skyfeed.xyz did:web (used for OnlyPosts and Discover) was broken because caddy could not renew the TLS cert due to the disk being full. Sorry about that, fixed now!

I'm currently in the final refinements to my optimized atproto indexer for skyfeed and just learned that there is no efficient way to detect deletions with incremental repo sync :( does anyone know a good solution to this issue?

Hi! SkyFeed is struggling and I need to find a solution. If you don't know SkyFeed, it's a service I built 2 years ago, enabling anyone to build and publish feeds using a visual block-based editor. SkyFeed is still hosting the most feeds on Bluesky, but that comes at a cost [1/X]

I get pinged quite frequently about all skyfeed feeds having issues, but then I go online, check a few feeds and everything seems to be fine. however despite this being the case, there has been a concerning amount of pings the past few days, so I assume that maybe one of the servers is broken. It would be nice if IPv6 used underscores instead of colons for separating groups. __1:5050 is so much nicer than [::1]:5050 imo and you would be able to double-click to select a long address in most places!
