@cocore.dev at work in the @pdxtrend.bsky.social Pdx Pulse trending topics bot. The bot tracks the PDX Posts feed and uses an llm call to organize and title the trends. The llm call defaults to a local but fails over to co/core if the gpu is busy. Roundtrip time was flat. Great work, @graze.social!

This is an amazing bluesky idea. It would be great for experimenting with all kinds of information collection forms, of course journalism and media orgs, but also publishers, events/conferences, artists and writers, librarians and other curators, etc.

Accounts (particularly huge ones like media orgs) should be able to set a "default feed" where, when you visit their profile, instead of seeing the reverse chron, gives you a feed they've created for their audience. This is a killer differentiator and @bsky.app needs to have built it a year ago.

1. Make Discover like For You 2. Improve feed UX (Both using and sharing) 3. Add more opportunities to discover feeds (anywhere from the new Discover feed showing you where it got a post or actual new items in feed generators that allow for cross promotion)

RAM Limit Controls 🧠 Cap how much memory models use, with smart suggestions tailored to your setup. Run powerful models without slowing everything else down.

This feed built with love by your local #FAccT2026 publicity chair and #1 fan of @graze.social. If you're interested in fairness and ethics of tech, then like, subscribe, and enjoy all the paper threads and discussion!

It's almost time for this year's conference! 🎉 To follow along with all things #FAccT2026, you can "pin" this feed to your homepage. It matches all uses of the hashtag, tags of @facct.bsky.social, and use of the text string "FAccT" (not case sensitive). Enjoy! bsky.app/profile/did:...

Model Scheduling is here! Run lightweight models during the day, then let the big RAM-hungry ones take over while you sleep 😴

a lighter model set to day and a heavy model set to night

I've wanted to try out local open models for a bit now. @cocore.dev made it pretty easy to set up a model on my Mac Mini and then connecting to my laptop remotely was the same level of easy. AND I also can test out and use other models from co/core members that my machine might struggle with. 🤩
