An upstart progressive candidate won his primary against a moderate who got over $60 million in support from AIPAC and was backed by the entire Democratic establishment. Here's why that's bad for the left. (🧵 1/152)

ChatGPT, show me literally *the* perfect image of how billionaire tech overlords think of children not as human beings to love and care for but as inconveniences for AI to deal with (and show me *the* perfect reply to one of those billionaires):

Tweet from Sam Altman: "cool use case of chatgpt work i heard last night:

connect your family calendars and explain your kids' interests.

every morning for the drive to school, have it make a podcast that talks about one kid's soccer game that afternoon, one kid's upcoming birthday, some news, etc."

Reply to Sam from Alex Hirsch: "What if you just talked to your children"

Heard there were a fair number of solvers who don't think video games are a worthy subject of a high-brow pastime like the New York Times crossword so I'm planning to make a Contra-themed puzzle for them that's completely impossible unless you enter the Konami code beforehand.

I'm sure everyone thinks LeBron is picking the Sixers because of Embiid or Jaylen Brown or Maxey or the city itself but the true reason is he wanted the chance to play with another D. Wade.

Well it's frustrating that the #Cubs lost a game when they came back from 4 runs down and had a golden chance to win it in the 9th, but on the plus side the sound on my video screwed up and made the play-by-play guy Alex Cohen sound like a demon, so there's that.

Back in 2000 I was in London and my brothers found this satirical news show on TV where the sports reporter said "D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R F-O-R E-N-G-L-A-N-D definitely spells 'disaster for England!'" Thinking about that clip for some reason. #WorldCup

We all remember and love the late Sam Neill in "Jurassic Park" but an underrated great one-off role of his was as Molloy the cat burglar on "The Simpsons." There was something strange about the way he walked, much more vertical than usual.

A friend of mine's Twitter account got hacked and whoever took it over turned it into a fake user "protecting" Elon Musk from impersonators (and retweeting Musk's posts). Because commtting cybercrimes and posting embarrassing flattery for the world's biggest loser is just what that website needs.

The Twitter user @Charlotte_1727 which came from a hacker taking over a friend's account. The hacked account's bio says: "Protecting Elon Musk's online presence from impersonators is my top priority, leveraging my cybercrime expertise to safeguard his digital identity."
