So, the astrology is really astrology-ing today. It felt hyper and choppy this morning when I hopped on the subway but by the time I walked home later today, I saw one couple making out on a bench by the water and feet later I saw a proposal go down—in the rain, no less.

I’m on a commuter train right now & I want to claw my skin off. I know pollen is basically super charged this season, but there’s also covid, measles, TB & 50 mill other things circulating. Of course, I’m in a well fitted KN95, but good GOD, the amount of open mouthed coughing!

A man who smells like sandalwood stopped, asked me for my # while I was out for a walk in my trench coat, Giants sweatshirt and barely any makeup. It’s raining here, so not a good hair day. And I was feeling pretty low about myself. I don’t know what the Universe is playing at.

I missed Easter because I was sick. My family gave me an orchid & a picture frame of my godchildren. Perfectly reasonable then, as people see me walking home, that they wish me a Happy Mother’s Day. It stopped me in my tracks—“Uh, thank you. But not yet.” I take it as a good sign.

Day 7 of resting my voice since being sick. It might be because I haven’t felt well for most of the week, but I’m actually feeling anxious because I can’t speak right now. This makes me have a whole new level of empathy for people who deal with speech impairment in any way.
