This week I toured the Southern Regional Carpenters training center and learned about the training & skills of our union carpenters in GA. As a supporter of registered apprenticeship programs, I’m ready to support our union brothers and sisters as the next congresswoman of GA-13.

This week, I met with Mayor Connie Alsobrook, a historymaker as both the first Black and female mayor of Conyers! I am excited to collaborate with Mayor Alsobrook on transportation, infrastructure, and environmental issues when I take office.

This week I joined several leaders from across metro Atlanta for Impact Day at Clark Atlanta University where I had a chance to tour the new Student Success Center. As an educator, I appreciate these resources that support our students and help them thrive in school and beyond.

The Trump administration is cutting financial aid for degrees it says don’t “pay off”—including social work, early childhood education, and the arts. These careers contribute meaningfully to our society and we should be creating pathways to education, not erecting barriers. Congress can fix this!
