Today marks two years since the Apalachee High School shooting. We remember Mason Schermerhorn, Christian Angulo, Richard Aspinwall, and Cristina Irimie—four lives taken too soon. We must honor their memory by supporting common-sense gun safety and keeping our kids safe at school.

Come out and canvass with us on September 13th!
We’re proud to endorse seven strong gun safety champions running to flip key seats, win critical open races, and bring a new generation of gun safety champions to Washington.
Healthcare shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code or your paycheck. As a microbiologist, I follow the evidence. As a state representative, I’ve fought to expand affordable care. In Congress, I’ll protect Medicaid and make healthcare accessible to all.
When babies in a daycare come in contact with measles, they are particularly vulnerable because children cannot be fully vaccinated until age 4 or 5. This is why RFK, Jr.’s anti-vax rhetoric is so dangerous! This is why we need science voices in Congress.
This week, I was excited to meet with my good friend, Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson. For the last 8 years, I have been representing a portion of Gwinnett at the State level and I am excited to represent even more residents of my home county in DC!
Two unvaccinated people just died of measles in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania—just a few years after RFK Jr. told a crowd that the cure to measles is “chicken soup.”This is why we need more scientists and healthcare professionals in Congress.
Proud to be endorsed by Nurses for America! As a nursing instructor, I’ll always stand with our nurses—whether it’s fighting for more resources or pushing back when this administration deems nursing degrees “nonessential.” I’m excited to go to Congress and be a champion for nurses!
GA-13 Voters! It’s Election Day for the special election runoff to fill the remainder of the term for the late Congressman David Scott. Make your way to the polls by 7 pm to choose between Everton Blair and Marcye Scott to represent us through the end of 2026.
This weekend, we were out in Rockdale County knocking doors and telling voters about our amazing Democratic ticket! Let’s send a science voice to Congress, Jon Ossoff back to the Senate, and Keisha Lance Bottoms to the Governor’s mansion. Let’s vote for Democrats up and down the ballot!
Looking forward to this fireside chat with Dr. Chico Tillman to discuss meaningful and impactful community violence intervention in our endeavors for Unity in the Community.
I really enjoyed meeting Loganville Mayor Branden Whitfield last week. I learned a lot about Loganville’s history and its growth and I’m excited to work with the mayor to support that growth when I am in DC.
Last week, I sat down with Newton County Manager James Brown to discuss issues related to the county. As a lifelong Georgian, I’ve seen how much Newton County has grown and I’m excited to partner with them when I’m in DC.
On that night in November 2016, I went to bed a scientist—and woke up a mad scientist. I’ve used my expertise to make change in the Georgia state legislature, and now I’m ready to bring that to Congress.
Schools across GA started last week, and it didn’t take long to have our first gun violence incident of the school year. I’m a lawmaker, but before all that, I’m a mom. I want a state where parents don’t have to fear getting that “code red” call—and wondering if it’s their child.
Yesterday I spent the day in Oxford, GA with community leaders learning about the needs of the community. A special thanks to Oxford College Dean Molly McGehee, Mount Zion First Baptist Church Senior Pastor Charlie Williams and Mayor David Eady for arranging this incredible trip!
Trump signed an executive order changing the vaccine schedule and it’s clear that he has never attended one of his kids’ pediatrician appointments.
Yesterday, I was thrilled to sit down with Henry County Commission Chair Carlotta Harrell. We had a wonderful conversation about how to best serve our communities and I'm excited to work with her to serve the people of Henry County, when I get to DC.
✔️ "I’m proud to partner with Defend the Vote to ensure that every person has their constitutional right to vote protected and our elections are truly free and fair.” We are proud to endorse @jasmineclarkforga.bsky.social.
Excited to kick off our general election canvassing this Saturday! Join us to get out the vote for Democrats up and down the ticket!
On August 8th, we marked one year since a gunman opened fire at the CDC in Atlanta, killing DeKalb County Police Officer David Rose. We remember Officer Rose and all those who were targeted, and we stand against the conspiracy theories and misinformation that fueled this tragedy.
Yesterday I joined the stage at the GA Chamber Congressional Luncheon. I was asked what I plan to bring to the table in Washington DC. My answer- science, problem-solving, and the truth!
Today I had a chance to tour the training facility for Ironworkers Local 387 and talk about the importance of apprenticeship programs. I’m proud to stand alongside them and look forward to working with them when I get to DC.
Healthcare shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code or your paycheck. As a microbiologist, I follow the evidence. As a state representative, I’ve fought to expand affordable care. In Congress, I’ll protect Medicaid and make healthcare accessible to all.
Took the stage this weekend at the GA Democratic Convention where democrats are fired up to send a science voice to Congress because we value truth and facts over lies, and epidemiologists and researchers over conspiracy theorists!
Last Friday was open house across Lilburn, and it was my honor to partner with Effect Foundation, Inc to provide back to school supplies and book bags to Lilburn Elementary and Lilburn Middle Schools. I hope all the students have a great first day of school this week!
As a mom, many of the decisions I make come back to one question: Will this leave my children, and all children, with a better future? That's the standard I bring to public service.
Trump's America is not working. It's making us sick! It's time to bring facts, evidence, and truth back to policy-making. That's why I'm running for Congress!
Lilburn Middle School families, we are back again for our backpack and school supply giveaway. Come by our table at open house for book bags and other supplies! See you there!
The strongest economy is one where working families can afford a home, raise their kids, save for retirement, and build wealth. I have the audacity to believe this is achievable.
