I voted today and the only options for the office of State Treasurer were a Republican or a Libertarian. A true "giant douche or turd sandwich" moment.

I checked, and my profile was listed on this dodgy site as well. It was a pain in the ass to submit a request to be removed and so far I've received no confirmation they've actually removed the listing
You have got to be fucking kidding me... If I'm on there, I think it's safe to assume that everyone else is too. You all better read the quoted thread and check for yourselves!
I haven't been very active on socials recently, so I'm overdue for some shameless promo. With all the amazing releases this year Fathomless II might not have made your radar, but I'm very proud of it and would love it if more people gave it a listen fathomlessmetal.bandcamp.com/album/ii-thy...

I was going to listen to the new (and supposedly final) Ministry album, but I couldn't bring myself to do it after that terrible single with the A.I. video, so instead I'm listening to this 1988 classic
Finally made it back home after a crazy long weekend. First was Sick New World TX then a stop at Meow Wolf in Grapevine before driving to Tulsa to see AFI again. 600 miles of driving, 15 sets watched, 1 very sore back. In case you wondered how many people were at SNW:
Goddamn, look at this fucking smokeshow that I'm married to. Sick New World TX edition today.
I'm a day late jumping in on this, but I'd appreciate it if you hit that like button and help me run out the clock on the rest of my work day by posting songs I love
Go ahead y'all
Currently introducing my son to the best original series cast Star Trek movie. Star Trek IV. AKA, the one with the whales
My boys Dischordia released a song from their upcoming album today, go check it out. The album kicks ass, and is their best work to date (I know this because I engineered the drum sessions.)
Death metal band Dischordia are back with another immensely heavy album of brutal, technical, and twisted music. Listen to a new song from their album, "Nocturne," here: youtu.be/BFeKYXO8m-Y
I made pulled pork tacos. They're spicy and delicious. The avocado was perfectly ripe. The jalapeños were fresh from my garden. I'm in a good mood. Only the OU Sooners football team can ruin my day now, but if they do, I still have leftovers.
Really debating whether to go to this show tonight. I've never seen Eyehategod before, but the weather is supposed to be shitty this evening and I don't know if I want to deal with it for a band that I don't regularly listen to. #metalsky hive mind: please convince me one way or the other
My wife and I have been re-watching The X-Files and we're currently on season 9 (the Mulder-less season that's also very light on Scully), and I gotta say that it has killed any interest I may have had for watching any X-Files without Mulder and Scully, no matter who is involved
Ryan Coogler's "X-Files" is officially happening. Hulu just announced a series order for the show, starring Danielle Deadwyler & Himesh Patel.
I completely forgot to post this fantastic shirt I bought at the Igorrr show on Friday.
I love it when I get to see my musical heroes up close. Secret Chiefs 3 was mindblowing. Igorrr soon...
Igorrr tonight! I'm so excited to not only see a those French weirdos, but also Secret Chiefs 3 (Trey Spruance from Mr. Bungle's other band that was doing microtonal nonsense decades before Angine de Poitrine existed)

It has finally cooled off enough to wear my MDF long sleeve for the first time
I don't know why I'm bothering to write a Bandcamp Friday post shilling my album when I know damn good and well you're all listening to @wraithstormmetal.bsky.social today. But if you don't have it already buy it here and help me finance physical copies fathomlessmetal.bandcamp.com/album/ii-thy...

Presenting the art and title for Nirensimt IV, coming early 2027
I've also been primarily listening to the new Nirensimt songs, because I've been tracking bass parts for them.

I wish I could listen to all this great new music coming out but my brain is very insistent: the only great new music I can consume right now is my forthcoming album
How dare you ask me, a bassist, to choose only one? You get a dozen, and be glad I stopped there
I feel like we all need a universal coping mechanism. So let’s share your favourite bass guitarist or bassist.
This has been a gloriously weird lineup of bands. I came in with no expectations and have been having a blast.
I've been listening to early In Flames this afternoon, and I'm having a hard time thinking of a band that fell off harder than In Flames after Clayman. Seriously, what the hell happened with/to them to make them go from the melodeath masterpiece of Clayman to...whatever they are now?
$32k! I don't get to say this often enough, but great job OKC. Last night was a blast and I'm glad we collectively got to support a great cause (also I hope someone enjoys my T-shirt that I somehow managed to lose between the venue and the car)
We were able to raise $32,684 for SISU Youth Services at our SOLD OUT hometown album release show last night. Thank you OKC for turning out and pitching in! Learn more about SISU: sisuyouth.org
Hell yes @chatpileband.bsky.social #Metalsky
Tonight's Chat Pile show is not just their album release show, but also a benefit concert for Sisu Youth Services. They're working to end homelessness for LGBT+ youth. If you want to donate as well, here's a link sisuyouth.org

I'd love for more people to buy the album so I can finance physical copies, but I'm fully aware that just about everything is awful these days and money is tighter for just about everyone. If you want either Fathomless album (or both) but can't afford to spend $$, DM me for free download codes
Steve makes good music, you should buy some. He also graciously agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to appear on my nerdy little Star Trek inspired blackened death album. This has been my obligatory #bandcampfriday post fathomlessmetal.bandcamp.com/album/ii-thy...
