We talk quite a bit about fieldwork. But researchers are human, so field𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 also implies ‘field𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞,’ especially during longer stays. In a post for @methatmig.bsky.social’s Blog, I reflect on some lessons learned about #fieldwork and #fieldlife during my recent stay in Nepal. 📌 My 5 takeaways:

My colleague Samiksha Neupane and I put together a dictionary of terms central to our data collection in the #DYNAMIGS project. We hope it is a useful resource for other scholars working across Nepali and English, and would love feedback to update it with amendments and additions in the future!
