Born In The Rock 9/9/1941: The late, great Otis Redding, one of the greatest singers to ever hold a microphone. He dropped out of high school to perform, got a break in ‘58, landed his Stax deal in ‘62, exploding live on tour. Over 40 singles, 6 LPs, The Monterey Pop Festival; then gone too soon.
