As sum1 who works in ent I can tell you representation matters. Seeing yourself represented in media matters. Ppl complain Bad Bunny’s performance wasn’t a revolution. It was never meant to be. It was meant to let the world know we are here and we matter. That is a piece of the puzzle to revolution.

Whew! Outline done and sent to the director. I imagine this is what my main character feels like at the end of the story. Epic and triumphant. And in need of a shot.
Yesteray I had drinks with my director and the president of the production company I will be working with. I was so worried about my fit I changed it twice like I’m on a first date. Prez showed up in a t-shirt and basketball shorts. Quintessential Hollywood. 😅
Me looking in the mirror, “does this fit say ‘he’s an artist, hire this man!’ Or ‘who the fuck does this guy think he is?’”
Had an amazing conversation with an indie director on getting my script set up. Strategy is in place to make it happen. Unless anyone has a spare million they’d like to invest 😅
Mssgd my producer a story beat I came up with then walked away from my computer. When I came back I saw my mssg and thought it was the producer pitching my beat back to me and I responded, “Yes, that’s what I was thinking.” I responded to myself. 🤦🏽♂️ Anyway, how’s everyone else’s day going?
Wrote a short script that was extremely personal and ended up breaking down. Guess I was holding on to something I needed to release. Now I’m determined to get this made.

Anyone else find it hard to focus on writing with the world burning down around you? Both literally and metaphorically.
I don’t know why imposter syndrome kicks in the hardest when you’re just trying to send “let’s grab coffee and catch up” emails.
This makes sense tho it still caught me a bit by surprise that my top album on Apple Music is Brown Noise because that’s what I listen to while writing.
