This one was made as a quick temporary banner for a thing, but I figured I'd share it here as well, because it's a quick glimpse at how some of the utilikin designs are progressing.

A friend suggested the other day that it might be fun to officially turn Rhynn Harper into an open species. (This makes sense in the context of Lizard Game I promise 🦎) I am already strongly in favour of people making Custom Harpers, but this would have to involve ref sheets and loredocs. Thoughts?

Finally banishing all the mixels from this project. I can't believe that I ever thought this looked acceptable, good grief.

The game "Reset Day" doesn't really specify when the event "Reset Day" happens. But there are some clues that it's probably late spring or early summer. After some discussions, we settled on May 25th as an official unofficial date. 25/5, you see. Computer joke. So, in conclusion - happy Reset Day!

A quick update on the status of Mission to Moonside, the next canonical utilikin game. I think I've found a way to resolve the tonal issues with the writing, as well as with the problems with the high-res graphics. Some of the finished content will need to be redone, but we are back in development.

So it turns out Itch.io has a moderation queue for comments. If a comment ends up in this queue, you do not receive a notification, and there is no way to see them except by checking each project individually (and the menu is hidden three layers deep.) Quick website update: Some of the images on snowcean.net were broken. I think this happened because of a Hugo update, which changed the way relative links worked? Not really sure. It should be fixed now, but let me know if you notice further problems.

The writing for Informash is done. I need to implement one more boss fight, and then I'll have a little Metroidvania/RPG for you all to play. Aiming for a release on the 31st, so that'll be the final project this year. :v No idea about the Lizard Game Content Patch. The portraits still aren't done.

The current state of affairs: * There remain ~5 person-hours of work to be done on the Lizard Game Content Patch on my end - but this is blocked by the new portraits. Yes, I'm still waiting for them. * Informash is making progress. 1-2 levels plus a boss fight outstanding. Should finish this year.

While I'm waiting for the remaining Lizard Game art assets, I've resumed work on Informash. You know, the little Metroidvania/RPG hybrid that's set on the Web of 2007-ish. The project hasn't met my expectations but I do think some of the new areas and features are turning out alright.

I have been able to initiate a payout for Lizard Game, and Itch has been processing further purchases for it as well. I *think* that means I'm in the clear - we'll see.

I've written a brief post on what the Itch.io NSFW de-indexing situation means for me. TL;DR: I was indeed hit pretty badly, but I was prepared for this, so no content will be lost. It may affect future plans, but depending on how this shakes out. snowcean.net/posts/2025/2...
