Any of you comics folks ever been to Lucca Comics & Games? I'm realizing I might be in Italy around the same time and I'm trying to gauge whether it's going to be a nightmare of pop culture overwhelm or if I'll be able to see some amazing European comics.

There are SO MANY graphic novels coming out this fall that I'm excited about I can hardly stand it. Everyone's getting published in October. (Except us, we're coming out next spring. Plenty of time for me to yell about my peers and their amazing work first.)

Needing to poke at the rectangle and decompress after the screening means I’m learning a lot about who’s awake and hanging around Bluesky after midnight on a Wednesday GO TO BED, AMERICANS

Great turnout for the Highlander memorial screening for my dad tonight, which also featured the unsettling realization that I had, in fact, NEVER seen it. It‘s been such a cultural Thing in my life (and our household), I just assumed I had??

What's a poster you had in your room growing up? Surprising nobody: HMS Rose looking absolutely beat to shit. Part of a double-sided promo poster for Master and Commander that arrived tucked into the LA Times circa 2003. (Stayed a part of my room decor through two decades and multiple houses.)

A creased fold-out poster showing a massive tall ship, her square sails set but her rigging in disarray, listing to starboard.

I illustrated a whole book of comics about learning to cohabitate with Imposter Syndrome and I think everyone already knows about it but am constantly reminded that they do NOT!
