I spent a few days in some of the big National Parks in the US this month, and came back to this paper on urban parks in the UK. I keep thinking about creating and curating outdoor experience as a common thread between vast landscapes and a neighbourhood place with a bandstand.

This summer I drove home to pick up the remains of my teenage zine collection. These included the masters of my own fanzines and forays into self-publishing. Writing zines was the first time I created fanworks, and the first time I wrote for an audience larger than myself.
