We didn't have lists that we could blindly follow without having to know anything about those on it. Finding our people took a bit of effort. We actually had to search, read people's posts, interact with them.. and that was half of the fun.

The first week after the initial wave of users joined, someone found out that you can message every person on this app at once by using @all or something.
