Got myself some Mastodon 5.0. I like its design; it's very clean.

Only one client has so far reached out to inquire about their website. Either they don't know, or they have the utmost trust in me. #PHP #Security

Voor mijn Nederlandse volgers: Hebben jullie ervaring met de HomeWizard-accu voor thuis? Ons energiecontract (afgesloten in 2022) verloopt begin volgend jaar en wij overwegen over te stappen naar een dynamisch contract.

Holy crap, that was one of the fastest times I saw a pre-order sell out at Apple. I couldn't get my hands on an iPhone Duo. Maybe later :-)

How do you like my new office? Had #ChatGPT whip up a new Teams background for me.

Alright. Who jinxed it? Lots of IT issues today.

During sparring yesterday, some kid called me Sir. I'm only 36, holy crap.

2.5 degrees Celsius this morning. First really chilly morning of the season. 🥶

Back from the trip, but work is denied. 🐱 💻 cc @catsalad

Another one then. #Mosel #Germany #MotorcycleTrip

The weather is a lot better than yesterday. ☀️ #motorcycle #trip

Doing a motorcycle trip around the Mosel in Germany. These were some shots from yesterday, when the weather was absolute 💩 . Luckily, it should improve quite a bit today. (Yes, I have an absolute unit of a windshield)

This burger is rightfully named “The cheat day”. 🤤

Some say cPanel or CloudLinux is expensive, but when I need support, I can reach a capable human within the hour. That’s rare these days. #Wordpress #cPanel

KPN (a Dutch Telecom provider) offers unlimited data, but requires you to get "top-ups" after 20GB. Had to download a few AI models today on 5G. I found myself pretty clever with this one.

Just finished. It's only 80% of the height of my regular iPhone. It feels like a somewhat wider iPhone 13 Mini. I really like it.

3D-print of the day: a replica of an iPhone Duo, to see how it feels before going through the pre-order process.

Set the rental car’s favorite station to some proper music. 🎅

Productivity suffered after being unable to install Things 3 on a managed laptop because a policy disallows App Store login. The friendly people over at Cultured Code created an offline license, and now it works. Very happy.

New instance, and I need to test federation, so here's one of my favorite photos of Kaylan (who unfortunately passed away a few months ago). Tuning server processes, so feel free to boost to make it work a bit. #CatsOfMastodon

@ivory@tapbots.social Hey guys. Please take a look at LittleFedi.social. It’s new software by @stefano@bsd.cafe and Ivory doesn’t play nice yet. Consider me one of the users who would be very happy for this to happen. #LittleFedi #Ivory

There's some solid AI-fobia around here on the Fediverse; such a shame. If people use the tooling well, they can do great things with it. #AI #Claude #OpenAI

Fediverse, the social media system for 40+ year old people who built the world wide web and regret it.

@mookie@bunnymotorsports.com where's your #littlefedi instance? this is taking too long

This is the month toot.community will close, following the initial announcement on July 28. Since then, only 248 accounts have moved to a new instance. In contrast, 1090 people have logged in over the past 30 days. Please let me know if anyone has trouble finding its way through the Mastodon […]

I tried a thing, and I think I succeeded. LittleFedi was released today, and I was already thinking about dropping GotoSocial. I performed an in-place migration of all data, so here we are: same domain, same handle, same content, and same keys. I was able to bring along previous posts, but not […]
