@josephfray.bsky.social how would one go about requesting the city allow a dog splash pad day or special hours like they have at public beaches (dogs before 9 or after 6 etc)? Asking for two furry friends.

Just watched a video where a flock employee installing a camera called the cops on an investigative journalist for taking pictures/video of the install. Supposedly feared for his safety from being captured on video. A flock employee concerned about being “flocked”? Woah woah.
With respect to the police chief, APD doing its “due diligence” and “getting it right” would have looked like asking for permission to use Flock, not trying to force justifications after the fact and asking for forgiveness. Operations due diligence ≠ democratic due diligence.

Saying a prayer for the people in Ni‘ihau and Kaui‘i. Lowell is looking a lot like Iniki. 🙏 Even from afar, seeing so many intense storms is heavy. Hoping for safety for the islands.
Also - we went to PR. Fun to check it out even if it was a short weekend trip. 🏝️

And for me, Ohio. Clearly pop and crayon are giveaways, but they never asked about how I say bagel. Also, it’s “flor-duh” and that wasn’t an option.

Planning on Saturday Aug 15 as next #DRBC. Will have some favorite foods from our travels to Hawai’i—kalua pork, Mac salad, and maybe a veggie poke (watermelon, it’s actually good). Feel free to bring something food wise. Will also likely feature our favorite island rum, Kōloa Rum Co.

What is “good yard sale stuff”? Putting signs out this evening for tomorrow, had several comments from passers by. One said “I love yard sales, do you have good yard sale stuff?” I don’t even know what that means. Do you?
