Big news: The family of Tierra Walker, who died after she couldn't get an abortion, is suing a slate of Texas actors in state court, including AG Ken Paxton. They say the state ban is unconstitutional. This is the first suit of its kind. 19thnews.org/2026/09/texa...

Tierra Walker died after she couldn’t get an abortion. Her family is suing Ken Paxton

The case, filed Tuesday, argues that Texas’ near-total abortion ban violates the state and U.S. Constitutions, which “prohibit state actors from killing their citizens.”

Got $120 settlement check for a data breach from a DVD company, so only fitting to reinvest it - blind bought these because you cannot stream LAST SUMMER and the Spiegelman doc has like 6 hours of bonus material from guest lectures to deleted scenes. I also ordered the Radiance of OSSESSIONE.

i’m a trans Texan and i’ll be voting for Talarico and strongly encouraging others to vote for him, but i still think he’s a coward for acquiescing to whatever bad advice he received. to some folks that’s unforgivable. i respect that, and you should too. either way, please read the piece.

This is a powerful story from a trans Texan (who's also quite a talented independent journalist). I've been arguing that trans people have the right to be upset with Talarico, and I think we do. This is the case for vote for him anyway, eloquently made, and by someone with the standing to make it.
