It's beginning to look a lot like Thursday!
what is the point of writing characters that don't know the word "trachea"
the thing is that i have a lot of really interesting opinions and contributions until i get on the opinion app for sharing your opinions, at which point i go completely blank
just finished vampire science and WOW, i loved it so much!! there's a fuck ton of theater in my family background & james felt so, so close to home. very well-crafted book with a lot to say and it often hurt my heart.
really really fun to see "vampire attack as sexual assault" - or at least a reaction from sam that is all-too-recognizable - from a perspective that is interested in the experience of "victimhood," whatever that means. i wish i'd read this several months ago (but am very glad to be reading it now)
move over "pyramid at the end of the world," vampire science is here
Also read Princess Floralinda and the Forty-Flight Tower over the past few days - I've got a physical copy and wanted something to read in the car - and it's a fantastic time. I really missed reading Muir. I love the exacting control she has over her prose voice and its changeability(...)
also if this is becoming a media log, i started eldin ring yesterday. i have to say - and i assume this is a perfectly novel observation - that game is difficult!!!!
still not sure how to use this space, but i will say i've been reading @kateorman.bsky.social's Vampire Science and goddamn, it is so much fun (and so well-done). the prose voice is snappy and brilliant & every character is immediately fascinating - such a delight!!
feel like shit, just want her (franziska von karma) back
oh god. i almost forgot to post jwissy. please look at jissy (jeans missy) and the joctor #doctorwho
can we all imagine i said something really dry and witty to christen this account
