I wasn’t sure about LOOT when I first started watching as it seemed a bit gentle and slow. But I soon got into it, mainly thanks to the brilliance of the supporting cast. I love Sofia and Arthur but most of all I love HOWARD! I’m about to start season 2 - is it just as good? Is anyone else a fan?

When I wrote #AlbertEntwistle, people commented on its similarities with a book called #AManCalledOve but I’d never read it! This week I watched the film version and loved it. As tears welled in my eyes, I felt proud to have written a book that people think has the same spirit ❤️

This film is a lovely study of the relationship between two very different characters and both lead performances are tremendous. It’s a quiet, gentle film so won’t change your life but it might make you a little bit more compassionate and understanding. I really enjoyed it ❤️ #arealpain

How dreary and dull and unexciting is January? I’m sending solidarity to anyone who’s struggling to find their sparkle this month. I wonder how the new year and the chance of a fresh start hits differently when you live in the southern hemisphere and there are blue skies and sunshine?

I studied the novel One Hundred Years of Solitude at uni and LOVED it but tried to re-read it years later and the magic had gone. Thankfully, the Netflix series has reawakened my enchantment and I’ve fallen back in love. It’s a beautiful, faithful and very fitting adaptation!
