I'm so grateful to Jasmine and Emily for organising such a phenomenal week, and for giving me the opportunity to attend with a Student Bursary, and so thankful for the welcoming atmosphere and friendly approach of the attendees!
The Stained Glass Museum
@stainedglassmuseum.bsky.social
The only museum dedicated to the art of stained glass in the UK. Located in Ely Cathedral, Cambridgeshire. Our collection spans over 800 years!
I had the privilege of attending the @stainedglassmuseum.bsky.social study tour in York last week, absolutely full of the most astounding medieval and post-medieval glass both in the city of York and the East Riding! I was particularly thrilled with visiting the Minsters at York, Beverley, & Howden.
Ended 2025 the right way after a year that has been a lot in my personal and professional life. Finally visited the wonderful @stainedglassmuseum.bsky.social in Ely. Absolutely fantastic and can highly recommend.

This roundel was made and designed by stained glass artist Harcourt Doyle in 1939 as a wedding gift to his friends. Their son later donated the piece to The Stained Glass Museum in memory of his parents, Arthur and Joan Platt.
We had a great visit from Littleport Primary School this week as they learnt all about portraiture. They enjoyed seeing lots of stained glass examples from regular to regal! They also enjoyed recreating #KehindeWiley’s St Adelaide too with our new fantastic knitted (and sparkly!) orb & sceptre!
