A really good, well-researched piece about how powerful this stage of women's lives can be. If we are asked only 'negative' questions, we ignore the positives. As Margaret Mead states: "There is no greater power in the world than the zest of a postmenopausal woman." www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Why 'menopause masking' can have consequences - as I discovered
Concealing symptoms of menopause can have knock-on effects for some women, such as increasing the risk of burnout

Westminster Library debate: Jonathan Davies MP has opened the debate with a robust defence of these vital services and asks that the government considers developing a full cross-departmental, national strategy for public libraries, backed by robust data.

In the days of lovely Twitter I often put out a call for help with research in writing my books. So here goes, Bluskiers. I'm looking for a social worker (adoption/fostering preferably) and a probation officer who worked between 2008 and 2012, the more senior the better. Please share :)

Although “the situation here is nowhere [near] as bad, censorship does happen and there are some deeply worrying examples of library professionals losing their jobs and being trolled online for standing up for intellectual freedom on behalf of their users”, said Louis Coiffait-Gunn, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (Cilip). "Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card!" Happy #WorldBookDay! In school, I've dressed up as cartoon Arthur and the library card song! A survey found that 4 in 10 adults hadn't read a single book in the past year. Why do you think so many adults don't read for pleasure? #Reading
Great initiative from Spread A Smile charity and @michaelrosenyes.bsky.social to put books in hospitals for kids. #WorldBookDay
