BREAKING — Mayor of Lewiston, Maine posts on FB that ICE is coming to the city imminently. This confirms my reporting the agency is planning a surge in the city and state generally. Lewiston is home to a large Somali-American population, which made up 4.6% of the population as of the 2020 census.

Brown University released a statement about a Palestinian student that's being smeared online as the shooting suspect. Not going to share his post because it includes the student's personal info but one of those spreading this harmful rumor was the spokesperson for Turning Point USA, Andrew Kolvet.

Brown University Statement: Doxxing of a Community Member In the aftermath of the shooting, we've seen harmful doxxing activity directed toward at least one member of the Brown University community. It's important to make clear that targeting individuals could do irrevocable harm. Accusations, speculation and conspiracies we're seeing on social media and in some news reports are irresponsible, harmful, and in some cases dangerous for the safety of individuals in our community. It is not unusual as a safety measure to take steps to protect an individual's safety when this kind of activity happens, including in regard to their online presence. As law enforcement officials stated clearly on Tuesday afternoon, if this individual's name had any relevance to the current investigation, they would be actively looking for this individual and providing information publicly.

UPDATE: Another Chicago-area church has put up an immigration-themed Nativity scene. A church member at Urban Village Church sent this one along, where Mary, Joseph and Jesus are gone and replaced with a sign that reads: “Due to ICE activity in our community, the Holy Family is in hiding.”

In Chicago, a Nativity scene features a zip-tied baby Jesus and Roman centurions in "ICE" vests. Near Boston, Mary, Joseph, and Jesus are absent from a Nativity scene, replaced with a sign reading "ICE was here." It's all part of growing religious blowback to ICE. religionnews.com/2025/12/05/i...
