Today I've done my PT exercises + a core workout, walked the dog to the farmers market, cleaned the bathrooms for the first time since surgery (😬), vacuumed both floors, gone to the Acme, helped my kid carry a keyboard upstairs, and made creme brulee. Later I'll make roast chicken w/potatoes. <thud>
I read this book in one day while I was up in Mass., after buying it at my beloved @brooklinebooksmith.bsky.social. While I love poetry, it's rare for me to tear through it the way I did with this. Which, of course, means that now I'll need to buy the rest of @theferocity.bsky.social's books! ❤️
The problem with book clubs is the pressure to finish reading a specific book by a specific date.
There's a lot to be said about Joyce Carol Oates, but man do I love and appreciate her willingness to single-handedly bring back the literary beef.

I have seen The Odyssey (in 70mm IMAX film!) and my hot take is that that was a super enjoyable movie.

Hands down my favorite hockey romance - Troy is the most relatable of romance main characters to me, personally. 😂 Read the other books in the series first, though, the world building is so good!

This is one of the most boring soccer games I've ever seen and it will never, ever be over.
My kid decided that what he wants to do for his birthday is see the 70mm IMAX version of the Odyssey, which I am obviously all for. I will once again take any opportunity to promote this fantastic retelling as a mystery novel starring... a pony. As my new favorite podcaster says, get across it!

I just took some chard, basil, and cherry tomatoes from the garden, and some chopped walnuts, goat cheese, dried blueberries, olive oil, and pepper I had in the kitchen, and made a BANGER of a salad.
