I just tried to pay a bill over the phone, and instead of giving me a menu of normal business operational options, a woman got on and tried to sell me a life alert necklace (because obviously I'm 80 if I know how to use a phone), and it was so unbelievably cynical and gauche I want to throw things.

The thing about being depressed is that it’s so easy to just live in it and not even notice until you realize just how long it’s been since you’ve derived pleasure from something you used to love.
