All else aside there is nothing I want or need genAI to do for me. I like reading. I like doing research. I like playing around in spreadsheets. I like interviewing people. I like writing. I like doing these things for myself because I take pleasure in the doing and they make me a better thinker.

Today @norcalk.bsky.social and I discovered that Silicon Valley Pride is all about community AND spinning prize wheels 😂 We collected sooo many rainbow stickers, tote bags, fans, and other paraphernalia. I also spotted two people wearing HR shirts — one Hollander, one Rozanov, not together. Fun day!
Here’s my haul-anov 😉 from the con I attended today. I bought every HR sticker I saw. The big one on top is a magnet the creator just GAVE me 🤯 I said I was looking for HR merch and he was like, “Take this. I decided not to sell it.” Okey! Other HR goodies I saw but didn’t buy in the next post

Some of my 12th graders are feeling stressed/scared/anxious about applying to college. Does anyone have advice I could share with them? (While I give them tons of advice and reassurance, my college application experience in the 1900s was very different than it is for students today)
