Be bold in your vision and actions. Speak plainly and tell the truth. Show up in real, authentic ways. Get to know folks. And fight like hell for them. It’s really not that complicated.

I went to a listening session last night & was scolded for 10 min by my state senator about the “shitty job” public schools are doing as she made her case for vouchers (even though private schools won’t accept kids like my youngest bc they legally aren’t required to have the supports he needs) 1/

TBH, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that part of me wants to tune out and turn away from this moment, this trajectory we’re seemingly on. But I’d be lying as well if I didn’t see in each of us the potential we have to change all of it. To chart a new path, together. Read my guest column here:
