Analysts estimate that 70%+ of Microsoft, Google and Amazon's present and future AI revenues are from Anthropic and OpenAI's compute spend and model sales. Outside of two unsustainable AI labs, demand barely exists, and they've massively overbuilt capacity. www.wheresyoured.at/the-ai-deman...

Someone on here recommended being way more picky with what card rewards to take in Slay The Spire 2 and it really helped. Thank you whoever you are

Dropbox another product I used to love that's just fundamentally broken now, trying to sync a single PDF from one computer and put it on another, but for whatever reason it does not want to. This is not a solicitation for tech support or alternatives, they all suck ass

One of the (many) reasons I think people are so anti-AI is that it’s a gratuitous display of wealth inequality. The average person’s life is difficult, expensive, and getting any kind of loan sucks - unless you’re raising billions of dollars to build an AI data center.

Was awesome to join Bloomberg to talk about the lie of AI - everyone's buying into the mag7 believing CapEx is going towards diverse AI demand, when all it's really doing is supporting the circular cloud revenues of two unprofitable, unsustainable AI labs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHcZ...

Slay The Spire 2's keyboard controls are just completely broken. I get that the game's in early access but it is astonishingly dumb that you apparently need to carry a controller everywhere unless you want to use a trackpad

Premium Newsletter: AI is becoming way too expensive. The 190GW of planned data centers need between $1.62 trillion and $2.92 trillion in annual compute demand that doesn't exist - and every new data center costs way more than the last. www.wheresyoured.at/premium-ai-is-getting-way-too-expensive/

Premium: AI Is Getting Way Too Expensive

A great deal of the discussion of the so-called benefits or problems with AI comes down to the theoretical jobs that are (or are not) lost as a result of things LLMs can (or cannot do), or the equally...

Per UBS, OpenAI and Anthropic will account for 27% of Google Cloud's 2026 revenue and more than 48% of 2027's. Investors are being sold a story about diverse AI demand that is simply not true - hyperscalers spent a trillion dollars to feed money back to themselves and pretend it's real growth.

Here's my interview with CNBC on how Zuckerberg's vacuous talking points about AGI and open source exist to distract from how Meta burned $180bn in capex (and more off-balance-sheet) to make also-ran LLMs that don't deliver an iota of the promise of "personal superintelligence."

Free newsletter: The more you buy, the more you lose. Hyperscalers are trapped in a vicious cycle where the more AI data centers they build, the more expensive GPUs - and the debt to buy them - become, and debt markets are becoming exhausted. www.wheresyoured.at/the-more-you-buy-the-more-you-lose/
